About Digbalaya
The Odia magazine Digbalaya is an annual publication of the Orissa Physical Society (OPS).This was an initiative led by Dr. Amulya Krushna Meeshraw during his tenure as President of OPS in the year 1996, with the vision of disseminating scientific knowledge among the general public of Odisha. The inaugural issue was brought out under the able editorship of Prof. Kulamani Samal, setting the tone for its publication. Since then, it has been published and released every year during the Annual Convention of OPS. Each issue is dedicated to popular scientific themes and contemporary technological developments, so as to create scientific temperament in general and inspire the school and college students. After Odia was declared as the sixth Classical Language of India in 2014, there is a need to strengthen Odia as a language of knowledge at the various levels of learning and application. Digbalaya is trying to contribute in its own way to this noble cause, with support from teachers, researchers and students.

Purpose: To encourage dissemination of science in Odia and promote scientific temperament.
Submission: Contributions are welcomed throughout the year from around the world. Interested authors are invited to submit soft copies of their articles (preferably editable format: Akruti Odia or Word) through email to digbalayaodia@gmail.com.
