Annual Convention


Each year OPS organizes its Annual Convention in collaboration with some institute. In such conventions National Seminars are held with reputed speakers from national and international level. The research Scholars and physics teachers present their research papers in such conventions.

During these conventions the senior physics teachers are felicitated and young scientists awards are given both in theory and experiment. The 36th Annual Convention for 2019 is going to be organized on 2nd – 4th February 2019 at Department of Physics, Parala Maharaja Engineering College (PMEC), Berhampur, Odisha . An International Seminar on “Emerging Trends in Physics and Applications ( ISEPTA-2019 ) is going to be organized during this convention.

Since 2017 the papers for publication in ORISSA JOURNAL OF PHYSICS will be only avaliable as softcopy in the Website. No hardcopy will be published. Last date of submission papers - 31st Dec 2018.

During the seminar, each year a talk is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Surya Narayan Behera , former Professor & Director of Institutes of Physics and Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University.
Since 2018 a talk will be dedicated to the memory of Professor Bibhuti Bhusan Deo, Former Head of the PG Department of Physics, Utkal University & Former Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University.
